REST stands for Respite Education and Support Tools. Voice of Care offers this nationally respected training to both church professionals and volunteers in an 8-hour workshop. This training provides short-term respite care volunteers with the knowledge and confidence to give this assistance to the caregivers. Participants gain preparation for building relationships, handling crises and overcoming obstacles in communication and learn safety practices, an overview of disabilities, and how to create a positive atmosphere in respite situations.
