Dressing a 1865 Lady: Ball Attire
Another one in the series - a 1860 style with an elliptical crinoline :-) enjoy! This dress is a part of the Victorian Dressmaker book - check my website or follow The Victorin Dressmaker on fb for detils! A note - on the gloves - Long gloves, popular earlier on, are actually a bit of a faux pas here - mistakes happen whn you have a studio for a few hours and filme everything in a hurry! And as you see at from the ball footage - no long gloves there..They woudl be quite old fashioned by then - long gloves are again popular in the second bustle era.
